Journée 11 (19 mai) – La Normandie

Arty et Tonya ont pris un car pour aller en Normandie ce jeudi. Le trajet était long et a pris plus de trois heures. Mais, ça valait la peine. L’histoire de la Normandie est énorme. Ils ont vu le cimetière américain qui commémore l’aide des Américains pendant la Deuxième Guerre du Mondiale. C’était très triste. Tonya a pleuré. Arty était silencieux. La journée était longue, et Arty et Tonya ont vu beaucoup de choses. C’était une bonne journée pour apprendre l’histoire de la Normandie et la campagne de France.

(Arty and Tonya rode a bus to go to Normandy on Thursday. The ride was long and took more than three hours. But, it was worth it. Normandy's history is enormous. They saw the American Cemetery that commemorates the American help during WWII/ It was very sad. Tonya cried. Arty was quiet. The day was long, and Arty and Tonya saw a lot of things. It was a good day to learn the history of Normandy and the French countryside.)
